Random Thoughts

Never underestimate your potential and never be ashamed of what you are. Do your best especially when people expect you to do less because the greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.

Life never gets tough if one can handle it better. Cries won’t be tears if you’re not hurt. Sadness won’t mean anything unless you’re down. Anger will be nothing if apology comes right after. Smiles mean nothing if it comes from the unknown. A touch never says it cares unless you think so. There are a lot of things in life that have a different meaning of its own…

… So if you feel like having a dwell in life… Fight not because you’re brave but because you’re a coward who is out to prove something.

Blindfolded and walking alone. That’s what most of us feel in a lifetime full of major risks and decisions. It might seem safer to remain stagnant. But isn’t it more fulfilling if despite the fear of falling from a cliff and bruised knees, steps were taken? In the end, losing and mistake won’t count. What matters most is the person we turned out to be—not naïve but wise and beautifully molded by experiences.

I’ve learned… that when you plan to get even with someone, you’re only letting that person continue to hurt you.
I’ve learned… that ignoring the facts do not change the facts.
I’ve learned… that the easiest way to grow as a person is to surround yourself with people smarter than you are.
I’ve learned… that no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.
And I’ve learned… that life is tough, but I can be tougher!!!

Something to Note and Remember!

It's been really a while since I blogged at all but I feel that these several turns of event it's something that I would like to record down and remember. What could be any worse for anyone to face.

August 2010.

This month kinda served me as a black month as there had been so many things happening to me that really makes me feel that there could not be any worse situation of situations a person can face at one straight go.

First of all, my brother's case. I guess I won't go into the details as it is not my issue at all. It affected me in a way that it has affected my family. From affecting my family it will indirectly affect me as well. Too much to go through and too much hassle running up and down just to get this thing sorted out.

Took about 1 week to 2 to settle this problem but let's face it; even after this experience it kinda shook everyone in the family including me. It's definitely something that I would not want to go through again. However, that does not fall to me to decide. Many a times if you think about it, it's usually due the cause of some smart ass that would create problem for this world to bear.

Secondly, I lost something that I've really deemed precious to me. Her... She has been the one that meant so much to and she's far too important for a man to lose. Well, due to either her or my own fault, those times have to end.

I can say one thing for sure. It's not easy for a man, well least of all me, to actually be able to decide or to even think of settling down, a.k.a marriage. She was the one I've set my eyes upon. She was my decision. Those who have known me for years know that I'm not the kind of person who would even think or even jump this length to a relationship.

So I dunno, for me, it's kinda big a deal as in the fact that I would decide such drastic decision, it's not easy at all and it took hell of a long road to come to that. Maybe to others its much simpler. You be with someone, you see him/her fit for a life partner, you plan and that's it... BOOM you 2 are on the track. But for me, it's like a civil war in my head.... To do it or not to do it... Alas the decision to do it had won. And yet, I lost her. I keep asking myself this same question.

"Will I be able to find such kind of person in which I will be able to decide like this again?" Somehow my answer is still "No".

To some, they will tell you that it's not like that, you will eventually find it again and you will not end up alone. That's not me. Once I've decided on something, it's really going to be difficult to change my mind especially on such big decisions like these. Wouldn't it be much harder to replan all these again?

I guess it's enough to record down for this part. The rest I would just wanna keep inside me and hopefully forget one day. I have a short term memory lost thing but to such long journey experience, somehow It's gonna take more than this sickness of mine to get rid of.

Thirdly, I received a news one day that a friend had passed on. I initially thought it's a prank from my friend. I've not met the deceased for like 2 years now and suddenly he's gone. When I realized that my friend's not joking, man the flashback of the good ol times we had just came back! I went to his funeral at the funeral parlor. Saw his coffin and thought to myself. Life is really short. To make matters worse, unpredictable. I mean like you may be living here one day and the next, you're all over again on the dice to roll to see whether you live or you die.

It is a callback to me to tell myself that life is too short to waste it. It did inspire me a little. I need to find myself again. I need to get myself back again. No doubt it was a sad night. Whole group of friends gathered at his funeral, catching up and all....remembering all the things that we had gone through with him, those crazy times...

To think again, it's really not easy to let him go. He was a good person, a good friend at least. But due to some reasons that I will not disclose here, he decided to go like that. Just a shocker to us all.

Last but not least, my job.... I made a decision to come back to my old job. I thought I would be able to expand myself. I thought the company had really changed... I was so wrong. so cheated.

I lost my job. Well, not technically...coz I actually resigned. I was made to choose between 2 most important thing to me...for now.... my job or my other important stuff... I had no choice.. everything was settle and we're ready. Too late to turn back now. Then the last minute this company had to come back to its old self again.

I was put into a situation where I have 2 choices and I had really no choice but to let go of my job. It's really not an easy choice but I know I had to make the decision. Tomorrow's my last day and I'm still cluless on where to look for a job. Sigh...

So at the end, like the chinese would always say:

I'm Old, I'm broke, Wife also runs away.

Seriously this month is really a FUCK my Life Month!

What Happened to Recordedmoments???

Dammit it's been so long since I've been able to have any time sparred to write anything in my blog. Work has even come to a point where it's everywhere in my mind.

What should I do???

Never mind, just let me babble something spontaneously just for fucks sake.

As I have read back my older posts, It occurs to me that all my past experience is just a mere recognition of the previous me. I have changed. No doubt in my body size =.=" but as well as the way I start to think.

As people start to age, we would realize that the past us are just mere memories of what we used to be. That's all the reason I've started this blog in the first place.

Photobucket

Back in those days, was never a weekend I would miss hitting the clubs and local bars to have a good time with my mates and all. We could bring ourselves to go all out till the morning sun warmth starts hitting our tired faces. Well not really tired though and furthermore we could continue till the afternoon strikes us and end up scouring the house for a place to rest LOL.

Photobucket

On weekdays, my mates and I will be going out for dinners... realize the plural i placed on dinner? It's mainly coz we could never stop on 1 place for food. Usually we would hop on the car and then start looking for other places for a drink and chill. Now this is what I would call living life on the fast track.

However, when you get older and career starts to prioritize in your mindset, your whole lifestyle completely changes. You would put in so much effort regardless it's emotional, mental or even physical, you would go the extra mile with what you got on your career. This often makes us tired as hell by the time we're off from work.

By the time you reach home, you would feel the weight of your day's labour hovering on your shoulder and you would just call it quits and call it an early night off.

Well this is just my perception. Other reality is well.... we're just getting older LOL

I know some of you would just pfft at me or even laugh at this statement that I do agree I'm getting older. This is what I call life. It's not that I do not enjoy life as I used to anymore but in a way, I'm happy that where my hard work has gotten my career thus far.

It has been fruitful though just I would need a couple more years to be where I actually want to be in the corporate ladder hence I have to act fast :p

Look at where I am now, career wise, I'm a manager...well those days when people see you as a manager, they would go like "Waaa.... good life huh you?"

To be entirely honest with you, being a manager DOES NOT mean that you have a better life than any executives out there. Yes no doubt you get to push people around from time to time, but hey at the end of the day, the higher your position is, the more responsibilities you have to bear on your shoulders.

Like what Spiderman Movie said.... "With great powers comes great responsibilities!"
It's a true fact....Chew on that...

Desperado??

Has romance become such a desperate thing for us nowadays?

Even in Matta fair there are agencies trying to hook people up together.
This proves that people in the city these days concentrates too hard on work and literally have no time for a little romance or even a little fun.

Or could we look at another angle and say that the companies we work for these days are giving us more and more jobs until we couldn't finish therefore we utterly have no time for socializing with others.

Hmm really something to ponder....

Contentment?

OK OK Sorry for the long absence. I've been taking 2 weeks break away from work as well as blogging mainly coz right now I'm waiting for my new job to start.

Seriously, there's nothing worth to note down on what has been going on my life for the past 2 weeks apart from sleeping and gaming :) Yes there are occasions where I go out with some of my friends but rest assure, it's very very rare. I'd rather laze at home and wait till the day comes I have to wake up early in the morning for my work :p

OK. Today's topic would be something more general. It's something that is so common that sometimes people tend to forget about it.

Do you not find it ironic that there's a lot of people who keeps telling each other to be contented with what they have? Yet they themselves rarely practice it?

On general, Contentment comes only to those who CHOOSE to be contented with what they have. Some people are so consumed with greed or their own goals that they tend to miss out the best thing that they have right now.

For example: Men or women always complains about their partners or their husband/wife on their bad points. They would say how much their other half does not understand them or does not treasure them. One way to look at it, it's true. BUT think about it this way: Whether you are in good of bad times, have your partner refused to stand by your side? Have they never been your shoulder to cry on? Have they never been your best friend in times of need?

I know I used to be a person who use to take relationships for granted. I am still learning let me assure you that I'm learning each and everyday to build up as a better person to my other half :)

Let's face it, NO ONE'S PERFECT! Never your partner, never your husband/wife, and NEVER will be you. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.

In relationships, there is no such thing as YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. Everyone in a relationship CAN and WILL find someone better than you. Your partner CAN and WILL be able to find someone better than you. There's always someone better than someone. So here's the truth...

IT IS HOW CONTENTED YOU ARE in the person you are with now. Everyone can be your MR. or MRS. right. Unless you learn to be contented with what you have now, no matter how many people you date with, they will never be good enough for you.

However speaking about professionalism, we as human these days, our generation, tends to jump from jobs to job. WHY? answer is pretty simple. It's mostly because they want to find a better pay job of a job with a better offer. Look at your parents, or your grandparents, the previous generations can actually stick to a job for over 20-30 years. They would not jump to another job. I'm not saying that there's no better opportunities for them in other companies, It's because they are contented with what they have. Yes they may complain that their job sucks or anything, but at the bottom line, they will stick to the job. Their loyalty is something we won't be able to get these days.

Why is it so?

Is it cause our generation now is so spoiled with choices till the extent we no longer recognize contentment anymore? Or is it mainly due to greed?

Put our parents in being in a relationship...

Divorce is so common these days unlike the older generations. How come our previous generations were able to keep a marriage for so many years but for us, some could even barely maintain a marriage for 3 years.

My honest opinion is mainly due to contentment.... again.... People are so greedy or really do not know how to see and recognize the good things that they have till they tend to go astray.

Let me tell you my story...I learned to be contented with what I have. Some may know what kind of person I used to be. I am somewhat ashamed of myself as well at certain times. But well, every curve is a learning curve right?

I finally learn to be contented with what I have, who I am with. I know that I can rely on this person with whatever trouble I am at. I know she would stand by me. And of course I would act the same on her behalf as well.

Yes in a relationship or marriage, couples do argue. If there's no arguments in a relationship, then you should be worried. Don't run away or break the relationship mainly coz you guys argued. Argument is something that would bind the relationship stronger. Don't give up on your partner. Maybe they have not given up on you yet. Why should you be the one to pull the plug? When you accept him/her to your life, you should be ready to accept that person for his/her goods and bads. Else why would you bother to begin a relationship let alone a marriage?

This is all I have to say now... Please consider what I have said and search for contentment in every situations. Sometimes, things may turn bad, but don't look at the bad points only, the good points are always in the thin silver lining.

2 Headed Snakes

There are many types of people in this world. Some are understanding, some reasonable, some smart, some intelligently challenged, some hardworking, some lazy and the list goes on and on. Fact is there's always a quality a person lacks on. Only to make them human.

We as human are not perfect and I believe all of you would agree with me on that.

Never the less, we as humans, we have a choice to be what we wanna be. Some chose to be lazy instead of hardworking, some chose to be unreasonable instead of reason. But I feel intelligent is something we can't choose LOL.

The worst kind of people are those who what we asians call, 2-headed-snakes.

These type of people are the main problem that kick starts wars between 2 other people.

These type of 'friends' would come to you and backstab another friend of yours to you. They would say anything just to make you feel angry or pissed off your some of your other friends or even partners or even your wife.

Then on the other hand they would go to YOUR friend or your partner or your wife to backstab you in return. However, in front of you when they are talking bad about your other friends, he/she will say good things about you just so you would feel good.

These are the type of people everyone should get away from. I sometimes just wonder, why would these people CHOOSE to be what they are? Do they really enjoy their friends goes through a cold war amongst themselves because of what he/she had said?

Do you really find joy in other people's misery? I can honestly tell you I'm not stupid. I know what you did behind my back. Yes you know who I'm speaking of. I personally feel these type of people should really burn in hell. I mean now... Immediately... not wait till you die. but the moment you 2 time someone, poof off you go to hell to be burned eternally...

I fucking hate these type of people; well there are other types of people whom I really don't like but it's not as bad as this type. The other type would be hypocrites. Unfortunately we live in a world filled with people like this.

Are Men Intimidated over Stronger Women?

I was, yet again, had a drink with a friend of mine some time earlier this week as he told me that he was really troubled and and kinda invited me out on a desperate measure for a drink. He was kinda depressed in a way coz he hadn't been working for like 2 months. He has a wife to take care of and of course some loans and stuff to commit on a monthly basis. So as you may guessed it, his wife is kinda supporting the income on the house. Which means.... the wife wears the pants in the house LOL

Then it kinda stumbled upon me of this question....

ARE MEN INTIMIDATED OF STRONG WILLED WOMEN?

I got to admit, male chauvinism is pretty common in Asia especially Chinese men. Some men are still living in the traditional era where they still believe that men are a superior being compared to women. Men believes that they should be the one wearing the pants in the house and working and providing to the family is the duty of men.

Well, men will feel very intimidated if their woman are supporting them financially in any terms. I do feel the same way too. I mean why would you want to have a partner if you can't support them? I remember when I was much younger, my mom used to tell me, "Calv, you should study more. Then graduate to earn more money. Then only would you have what it takes to find a wife to support her."

Seriously, I think that mail chauvinism is kinda bad for us. We shouldn't even adapt this this concept at all. I believe men and women are equal. Both species have 1 brain, 2 hands and 2 legs. We're given the same capacity to perform in jobs or what not. Why should women feel any lesser of a being compared to men?

Some men prefer submissive women who listens to them on every instructions and commands. I think it's more like these men just want a sense of security. Having troubles at work while dealing with people around already just doesn't want to go back to a home where even the partner challenges him. It works both ways as well. Women who goes to work, they sometimes get caught in a crossfire of office politics. They get stressed out too. But they still come back home and takes the bickering of their so-called superior being. It's really not healthy to have this kind of mindset in a relationship though.

I for one, prefer a woman who can hold her head high and have her own opinion. but of course from time to time, a submissive part of her popping out would definitely be nice. Men loves to feel wanted. They longed to feel important in their partner's life. I guess it goes both ways as well. Women too wants to feel important and wanted in their own home with their partner. Don't you agree?

So as you can see, we're all equal here, we both want the same thing in a relationship and want the same goal from each other.

Take some time to reflect guys and girls, Why should you be intimidated over each other? Especially men, why would you be intimidated over women who could hold their own? It'll be really boring if the women agrees in EVERY single thing you say and does not challenge you one bit. Where's the fun of a debate or a positive discussion?

I would like a woman who could tell me otherwise, tell me that I'm a twat or I'm being and ass. A positive communication or a discussion with your partner is good for a relationship. Some people may think being submissive is just to evade arguments from each other but I can tell you this, arguments are good to hold a stronger bond between 2 people. But of course don't get it over your head. Keep your pride in your shelf when you want a positive discussion.

To be honest, I too need to work on my pride issue. Sometimes even though I have the right mind to keep it in the shelf, it often pops up right beside me and it makes me feel like a jerk when I display my pride and sense of superiority in front of my partner.

So all in all, I feel men shouldn't feel intimidated over stronger women. Having stronger women could be fun as well. But of course to the Ladies, please don't get over your head as well. Be considerate. Men could be quite fragile as well. Not all men can take harsh words or headstrong attitude with women. Men may be strong physically, but I can honestly tell you they are not strong all the way in. Not all of them to say the least. Women have a stronger hold on their emotions and mental compared to guys.

Online Shopping?

Photobucket

Ebay.com is so efficient these days... From the very beginning, I was pretty skeptical about purchasing stuff online. I keep on getting worried about whether will I be cheated or even being sold fakes or bootlegs from what I originally wanted.

Photobucket

Thanks to Paypal.com, this is a place where you key in your credit card details to them and they will be the middle party who makes payments for all your online purchase items. Don't worry, they are pretty safe. As a matter of fact, they will help you out of you were sold fakes or even if the items you bought were not delivered to you, they will refund to you after a full investigation; which takes about a week or so. :)

I usually do my shopping for music online these days. It's so much cheaper and of course with Paypal and Ebay, it makes things so much easier and smoother. As some of you may know, There's a lot of music that you can't get it in Malaysia. Not to mention CHEAPER than Malaysia.

Buying a music CD in Malaysia costs vary from RM40 to RM90 depending on the artists. Isn't it a wonder why Malaysians are still going for pirated cds? They only costs for RM8 at most. We as Malaysians work as a regular job with only a pay of RM1500 to RM2000 a month. How many of an RM50 worth of CDs could we afford?? People in America who earns about US$2000 a month would be able to afford tons as 1 CD there costs around US$5 to US$10?

Photobucket

OK back to my story. I got this CD called NELO. It's not found here in Malaysia as they are a new band. Guess how much I got it for?? 1 cent on Ebay and with a shipping fee of US$6.15. It's friggin US$6.16 for a CD which is about RM20 here? Ain't it so much cheaper? The seller in Ebay definitely earns a little and we in Malaysia saved a little... There you go... a Win-win Situation...

Everyone's happy. Of course there's a catch and risks about purchasing items online. Catch is of course you gotta be patient. It takes them about 6-10 days for a delivery right to your doorstep. I mean a saving of RM20 or more is kinda worth the wait right?

Risks are being whether are they selling u fake stuff, or broken CDs. Heck some even won't bother sending the items to you after you paid them. But never fear, Paypal is here. Just lodge a complain and they will investigate on both ends. When they found out that you are the victim, the payment will automatically be refunded back to your credit card :)

So in all words, it's kinda risk free in a way hahaha.... so guys... Happy shopping...

Comparing the Joker

Have you watch The dark Knight already? If you have not, what are you waiting for, go grab your tickets and enjoy the ride through out this movie. As for myself? I've watched it and I enjoyed it very much. As most movie goers, the public's eyes would normally be on the hero or the main actor of the movie. But guess what? This series of Batman, for my own personal opinion, The light shines hard on the bad guy, namely, The Joker.

As some of you may already know, there's this huge dispute on who is be better joker amongst the 3 actors. One being the old school joker starred by Cesar Romero, The modern day joker by Jack Nicholson, and the other by the latest joker from the dark knightHeath Ledger.

Cesar Romero:

Photobucket

Positives: Very animated, exceptional laugh, and of course, great over-exaggerated smile.

Negatives: Maybe it’s just me but although Cesar Romero added much arm movement to animate The Joker character, he seemed a bit stiff with his legs (unlike The Riddler in the original TV series - quite animated). I would have liked to have seen a bit more jumping around (am I being too picky?). Also, his lines were a bit cheesy. Of course that’s no fault of Mr. Romero’s, but it’s still something to consider.

Jack Nicholson:

Photobucket

Positives: Best facial expressions out of the three. The perfect marriage of a comical court jester and a murderous criminal.

Negatives: Laugh was just so-so. Also I personally didn’t care for all the hats he wore. You gotta show off the disheveled chemically mutated hair. He also wasn’t as animated as I’d like him to be. But then again, Mr. Nicholson is known for his personality and acting prowess, not for jumping around.

Heath Ledger:

Photobucket

Positives: You can’t really tell it’s Heath Ledger (and it’s a positive because if you could tell it was him, you probably wouldn’t be able to get the image of The Joker sodomizing Jake Gyllenhaal out of your head). Also, it looks like he has some good threads in this one (rather than the typical purple and green attire). And finally, it sounds like he has a pretty good laugh - not too corny, not too forced.

Negatives: In some shots in The Dark Knight movie trailer, The Joker kinda looks homeless, which actually works against my assumption that he’ll have some interesting attire (we’ll have to wait and see). Also, the white makeup and red lips look like The Joker just got drunk and fell into his mother’s makeup case.

Overall, After watching the dark knight, I personally feel that Ledger does a better job in the joker compared to the previous 2 icons.

Heath portrayed the homicidal side of the joker. His laugh portrays great evil within and by the way he looks, he's very much unpredictable. And just like the joker in the comic, he throws a bad joke over from time to time.

The previous 2 jokers kinda shows they are trying too hard to crack a joke and their laugh are much forceful compared to Ledger's natural look-a-like laughs.

Below is a video of the comparison of the joker character of Jack and Heath, I'm sorry I couldn't find the comparison one for Cesar but the 2nd video is a performance by the late Cesar Romero. Enjoy...

Back to the Primitive

Last Friday was one of the worse nights one could ever imagine to go through. Let me put it to you this way, Friday's normally what people would categorize gateway to relaxation. In a way it's quite true. You worked hard over the weekdays, and when weekend finally hits, you start to have plans over the weekend to either have a fruitful event or even laze and rest home till Monday strikes again.

Usually my choice would be to laze and rest at home. Not going out at all and so on... But then again, there's an old saying, you usually don't get what you want. For my case, it's usually true. Every turn of weekend strikes, my gf and I would plan to stay home and rest but for the past few weeks, it didn't not happen for is, eventually there'll be some smarty pants who would want a piece of us. Apparently we're too happening for people to resist not asking us out :p I'm joking...

OK back to the topic. On Friday evening, I was out to have dinner celebrating a farewell to a close friend who is flying off to somewhere to work. After dinner, I went to pick up my gf from her place back to mine. Don't ask me where is it, the drive takes me 45 mins to reach. =.="

So after a hectic day at work, a tiring drive from one end of the city to another, I would expect nothing less than a comfortable bed in which I'm familiar with and a cool breeze of the air condition in my room. But guess what? When I'm about to reach home, all I could see is total darkness. Pitch black road all the way back to my place. I was like, "oh shit! blackout"

Apparently my area was in total darkness since 4pm and when I reached home, it's already 12am. For our household, if there's no electricity, there'll be no...

1) Lights, Duh~
2) Air-Condition, Double Duh~
3) No water... ok this is cause our water supply ties to a water pump, so if no power means pump does not work = no water T.T
4) No computer... I left my notebook in office, so...

All in all, it's really back to the primitive. It's been raining almost everyday but for last Friday, THERE'S NO FUCKING RAIN! What luck huh? So anyways, thank god we have a backup bathroom which runs water directly from the water tank up above the roof. But.... my pee has higher water pressure compared to that shower =.="

After a nice cool water shower, I thought to myself maybe I could get some sleep after having a shower. Usually that's the case you see... Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep well... here's some stuff that I tried...

1) Sleep without my comforter ....... FAILED
2) Opened the window to sleep directly on how the wind outside blows in ..... FAILED
3) Sleep on the floor ..... FAILED
4) Use an old magazine to fan myself while trying to sleep ... FAILED
5) Proposed the idea of checking in to a nearby cheap hotel to sleep ..... PROPOSAL REJECTED
6) Proposed to sleep in the car. At least until the electricity comes back ..... PROPOSAL REJECTED

Overall, I just stick myself from rolling around the room, starring outside the window looking at the power guys fixing the problem, and fanning myself with some old magazine.

3 hours later...

3am: I told myself, that's it! I CAN'T FUCKING TAKE THIS ANYMORE! I got up, took my keys and about to leave my room and shoot straight to my car to get some air-condition feel... then...

POOF! The Power's back up!!!! I was like jumping around my room with joy as I feel the air that's blown from the fan to my face. The sensation was so familiar and welcoming that you feel immediately at ease. I switched on my air-condition and within minutes, I'm in dreamland!!

Moral of the story: We're so pampered with electricity at this age till we'll eventually die from suffering if we don't have any. How are we gonna survive if our lifestyle is forced to change due to Global warming?? This is something I really wonder...

Should Piracy in Malaysia Continue Existing?

After some thoughts about piracy in Malaysia, it occurred to me thinking about this question... Should Piracy in Malaysia Continue to exist?

I'm only going to take 1 example out of the many issues of piracy we face in our country.

Pirated Movies in VCD or DVD

As most Malaysians know, prices to go to the movies are going up higher and higher. I remember those days where I have to only pay RM5 for a movie ticket. But right now, it has changed so much as 100% of being RM10 during the weekday and RM12 over the weekends.

Photobucket

There are, however, other prices to pay if you book them online. An additional surcharge of RM1 for booking your seats online and an additional service charge of RM1.50 being slapped at your palm for purchasing the tickets online.

Photobucket

These issues has raised a concern to me though. Usually, I'll go for the movies over the weekend, and mind you, it's very rare that you see people going to the movies alone. I for instance would love going to the movies with my girlfriend :) So if my calculation's correct, the least I would have to pay for a movie session would be RM24 (knowing that during the weekdays we have to work therefore we won't have the time to go anywhere else)

Is it really worth it? This is merely just movie tickets and it excludes the drinks or the snacks you're gonna buy over at the popcorn counter. Note that those items that you buy from the theater, they charge an extra of 50% from the normal price outside at 7-11 stores. The best part is, you can only buy items from that cinema and it's not allowed to bring outside food in else it'll be quarantine.

So the grand total for a decent enjoyable movie, one must pay like RM30 for 2 people just to enjoy a movie. MY question is, IS IT WORTH IT?

Photobucket

Take a look at the other side of the dodgy situation. Over the streets of any food stalls outside, there are other source of entertainment called PIRATED MOVIES. Now, don't get me wrong or judge me so quickly just yet. Think about this, These movies you buy from these sort of people... is so much economical compared to go to a movies, oh yea, to go to a movie theater, it's normally located in a shopping mall therefore, you still have to pay parking just to watch a damn movie.

Photobucket

OK back to my point. You can actually purchase a DVD movie from these sort of guys and go home to watch it with a much CHEAPER price and of course, with the comfort of your own home. How much is a pirated DVD you say? It's only ranged from RM8-RM10 per DVD and it's limitless to how many people you're gonna watch it with. Cool huh? :p

You get to pause it when you wanna go to the washroom, you can just rewind the previous chapter if you have missed out or can't understand what was said, and you can even just drop by a nearby 7-11 store to get some cheaper snacks to munch while enjoying your own movie.

Photobucket

However there's a catch, There's some DVD movies that aren't clear or also known as bootleg version. It's basically some thief sneaks into the movies and record it using a regular video recorder. Don't fret just yet. There's also clear copies which a duplicated from an original DVD. Lastly, you only get to watch the movie after a while it's been aired over the theaters. But with a saving of over RM25 it wouldn't hurt just to be a little patient over watching a movie right?

These are my thoughts and my sole opinions only. :) Well, you guys think about it and tell me what you feel :)

Unfortunately a small group of us humans have the ability to abuse ourselves subconsciously (including myself from time to time). Despite knowing the very fact of going over the cinema would incur much more costs compared to getting pirated movies to watch, we'll still have the tendency to spoil ourselves.

It only proves one thing: Malaysians will always have piracy. Fact is prices for EVERYTHING in Malaysia is going up, unfortunately that doesn't count your monthly salary income. So what should we do? Answer is "CHANGING OF LIFESTYLE" according to what our prime minister says. But how do we do that? Every human needs some form of entertainment. So pirated movies is a solution. Cheap entertainment anyone?

PRICELESS!!!

I.....Can't.......Take.....This.....Anymore!!

I'm going to refrain myself from buying the newspaper for a couple of weeks. All the Hoo-Haa about the upcoming elections and seeing all the favouritism of the media over the government is killing me.

And they say it's a fair vote. Face it people! the government wants you to think it's fair and all but after you vote for them, they'll not give a monkey's ass about your problems. All they want is to make you think that they care. BUT the ultimate question is DO THEY REALLY CARE???

OK I'm going to stop bitching about the election coz whenever I talk about them, I curse a lot and I get really pissed off about it. =.=

So this is my NEW proposal.....

I'm going to write an email to someone to ask him to come to KL and sign up to be a politian. And all of us would vote for him OK? He's a very great guy and I'm very sure that we would live in harmony and peace when he comes. I'll get to the points later, so without further or do, Let me introduce to you none other than......

Photobucket
Yes... It is MARILYN MANSON!

I'm going to haul his ass over here to rally up a political run. And I do expect everyone to support him. Wanna know why you should support him??

  • He'll make this country free from poverty. Basically one of our goal in this coutnry is to relinquish the poverty rate in this country. Well with people all over the world coming to see him, I believe in a short period, we'll solve that problem now don't we?

  • We'll finally be out of corruption from the cops. Why? This guy hates cops and he will enforce all sorts of policy to destroy this cop corruption in our country.

  • Music lives free! As some of you know, our censorship board in malaysia had banned a huge amount of talented artists or music to come in to our country. It's a muslim country apparently and they have this sort of regulations and all. But no fear, Manson is here.

  • Manson is a satanist as said and he is dubbed reverand manson in the church of satan. It's not true as I have checked out the list of reverands in the church and his name wasn't in. Though he may be a satanist but he's sure as hell isn't a racist. I'm sure we would destroy this racism in this coutnry as well.

Actually there's more but I don't wanna take up too much of your time about this. He's a good deal to be considered about :p

Photobucket
He even has his Logo and posters up already.

Photobucket
But of course like any other men, After work, it's all about his personal life :p

Photobucket
He can speak for anything. See, he looks so serious and dedicated.

Photobucket
And last but not least, He gives away his teachings via music. Nothing is ever better to present your points by music. Most effective in my most honest opinion.

Wahahaha so what are you guys waiting for? Are you in or are you out?!

p/s: I'm just bored and the blue monday syndrome is hitting on me again. Sigh...

Ever Wondered Why?

Election is coming near for this country, Malaysia. The craziest thing is that each term, we gather, they rally, we vote, BUT???? As usual no matter how much we protest against the ruling party, they always win. Ever wondered why?

Does this mean that they are REALLY much better than the other parties? A Ruling party that practises racism, but DEMANDS us citizens that we are NOT allowed? So many things had happened in our country for the past years. Let's just bring up a few, aight?

Altantuya Murder: It's been since November 2006 but up till this date, this issue had not been solved. Is it because the accused is a son to someone important in the country that is why it is taking so long?

Michael Backman: He once released a book about our country's political problems as well as corruption. I personally bought the book and read it. I find it quite interesting to find out that Malaysia is one of the top list for most corrupted country in the world with a 137% corruption. =.="

Sexist Council Chairman: A lady get peeped on the CCTV in a council meeting and instead of bringing the CCTV operator into justice, our chairman made comments that it's the woman's fault as she wears too sexily and tempted the CCTV operator... seriously, WTF man?!

Jury system in Malaysia: This is a good one. Our own leader, the people whom we look up to calls us being just too stupid to be jurors...

Not to mention the constant price hikes on various items such as alcohol, tobacco, toll or even petroleum. for now Petrol has not hiked but I can assure you one thing. If this Party wins this election, it'll be almost a confirm deal that they will come out with some reasons to hike up the petrol again. True or not leaders?

Photobucket
Still interested in voting for them? Seriously, I thought they would be a great leader. They actually was during the time of our previous Prime Minister. This current one kinda fucks everything up. That's my personal opinion.

Look at the place where I live, the roads at the housing area are all messed up thanks to the road-broadening project these blokes are working on. So now the work is completed, roads had been broadened then what? THE FUCKING HOUSING ROADS ARE STILL IN A FUCKING MESS YOU BITCHES! ARE YOU GONNA FUCKING PAY FOR OUR CAR MAINTENANCE EXPENSES??! Fucking brainless people.

You sure as hell ain't getting my vote people. =.="

Auspisious Year for the Roosters

I got a series of forecast on today's mail. There's other zodiac signs as well, do let me know if you need any other zodiac signs, I'll mail them over to you. All you have to do is just drop me a mail at siggyx.com@gmail.com with your zodiac prediction and I'll mail them over. :p

I'll only post for the Rooster as I'm a rooster myself. In the way it's predicted, I'll have a very good year and 3 out of my 6 resolutions would be accomplished. hmmm....let's just see how it goes....

The Rooster in 2008

Overall Forecast For The Year

Roosters, this is your year to shine! A stellar line-up of auspicious stars in your Life Palace
this year are set to work their magic on your life, so sit back and enjoy the ride in 2008. Among these stars is the powerful Heavenly Virtue Star. With this star in your celestial path, situations that are stale or unhealthy somehow turn to good, and there is always a positive end to matters, no matter how dire the circumstance.

The second auspicious star for Roosters is the Sky Happiness Star. This star heralds happy events and celebrations. It will help foster good relationships at work, and this may lead to securing a new, better position or job. The Sky Happiness Star also presents Noble People who are ready to help and looking out for your interests. Relationships and marriages go smoothly, making this a generally happy year for you.

Yet another good star in your palace is the Prosperity Star, which brings more income, maybe even a promotion, and, overall, a year which will abound with sweet memories for you. The Prosperity Star brings in more than just money – you will also earn gratitude from others, and generate lots of goodwill this year.

The Eight Seats Star, representing justice and integrity, is your fourth auspicious star. This star implicates that if you stick to your principles, you will ultimately prevail. You will see things for what they really are, and learn the truth about some important matters. Besides this, the Eight Seats also denotes support from your family, leading to a smooth year on the whole.

There are only two negative stars in the Rooster Palace this year, and these are the Curled Tongue Star and the Salty Pool Star. The Curled Tongue Star may bring on more gossip and slander than usual, which may disturb you. Remember that these are only minor inconveniences for you because your many auspicious stars will trump this little problem.

The Salty Pool Star is a Peach Blossom Star that represents scandals and romance-related problems. As with the Curled Tongue Star, these will probably develop positively with the presence of the Sky Happiness Star in your aspect.

This is a year to be enjoyed and fully experienced. Take advantage of the good things that come your way! Even the Peach Blossom issues of this year will be a blessing. If you have been thinking of getting married, this is an excellent year to tie the knot. Those who are married may get involved with a third party through the influence of the Salty Pool Star. Though this affair may be enjoyable this year, it will affect your marriage in the following year, so think thoroughly before you decide to get involved.

They Say....

They say that everyone has a limit to their tolerance. Do you agree? Some people have a higher level of tolerance where as there are people who could not tolerate much. Well I say that every 2 individuals are like an Emotional Bank Account.

What is an Emotional Bank Account? The Emotional Bank Account is a metaphor describing relationships and the P/PC (Production versus building Production Capacity) balance for interdependence. It describes how trust is built on a relationship.

Positive behaviors are deposits building a reserve. Negative behaviors are withdrawals. A high reserve balance results in higher tolerance for our mistakes and more open communication.

There are six major deposits we can make to the emotional bank account:

1) Understanding the individual. An individual's values determine what actions will result in a deposit or a withdrawal for that individual. To build a relationship, you must learn what is important to the other person and make it as important to you as the other person is to you. Understand others deeply as individuals and then treat them in terms of that understanding.

2) Attend to the little things, which are the big things in relationships.

3) Keep commitments. Breaking a promise is a major withdrawal.

4) Clarify expectations. The cause of almost all relationship difficulties is rooted in ambiguous, conflicting expectations around roles and goals. Making an investment of time and effort up front saves time, effort and a major withdrawal later.

5) Show personal integrity. A lack of integrity can undermine almost any effort to create a high trust reserve. Honesty requires conforming our words to reality. Integrity requires conforming reality to our words, keeping promises and fulfilling expectations.
The key to the many is the one, especially the one that tests the patience and good humor of the many. How you treat the one reveals how you regard the many, because everyone is ultimately a one.

6) Apologize sincerely when you make a withdrawal. Sincere apologies are deposits, but repeated apologies are interpreted as insincere, resulting in withdrawals.

So when 2 people keeps on depositing positive deeds with one another to the bank account, eventually their relationship will grow stronger and of course trust, commitment and communication would gain to a better level of mutual understanding. But it would work the other way around as well when 2 people do too much withdrawals from their emotional bank account.

Some people keep asking me, "How could you be so cruel / ruthless to certain people?" People who knows me, they know that I'm very jolly and down to earth kinda person. BUT only when good emotional bank account has been kept.

I do tolerate people very well but there are a minority that would end up hell with me. Why is that so? Disappointment is the key. Every relationship you have with friends or other more than friends, there is a certain level of expectations you would expect from them. We're humans, many times we would fail to meet up to people's expectations.

True some people may say, we're just friends why should you expect so much? Of course that I would agree. But what of those who are more than friends? Your partner in a relationship per SE? Each human surely would have expectations with their girlfriends or boyfriends. What if they do not meet up to your expectations? Naturally forgiveness will kick in. What if over and over again he/she fails to meet up? That's withdrawal of your emotional bank account.

When the account is empty, then what? Chaos would kick in. Vengeance and hatred would come in as well? Obviously no couple would want to end up like this. It is due time then that the couple should start all over again and deposit into the bank account, so that things would get better. Unfortunately it's not that way for someone that I know. Despite how many times she had withdraw from the account, none had been deposited back in. Hence that is one of the many reasons he have changed his attitude towards her.

Many times he told himself not to be so, just try to chill, try to forgive. But each time he manages to tell himself so, Withdrawals will kick in again. Frustrations! Many times he had tried to move on, but she still tries to gain him back. When he returns, she is back to her withdrawal rally!

How could someone be like this? How could someone takes a relationship for granted like this? Seriously it's a pain to my eye. Stress kicks in all the time. He had a bad mood every morning when she calls and talks. The whole day ruins for him. From what I heard, He has from a good health to a mild hypertension now. Sigh this is a very good example of people taken another person for granted. Try to make things better will ya? Good relationships are to find let alone maintaining it. Understanding is the key people!!

Doorways

First off, let me apologize for the "Long time no posts" stunt that I pulled off for the 1 week. I've been pretty busy with events planning, helping out in friend's weddings, socializing with people and so on. I did not even have the time to lay back at home and rest. Goodness I can actually feel my energy being drained away so quickly...

I was having a drink with a friend last night and we were talking about life and how it goes round and round and round and round. There was this topic that I touched that reminded me of an aspect of life that we should get back to the basics.

Let's face it, in relationships, it comes and goes. Often it's due to us as mere human's fault that we tend to mess things up or complicate the whole bond between two people. There's lots of people or your friends would go around preaching to you on what you should do when you ARE in a relationship or BEFORE stepping into one. Yes indeed I must admit it's fun to go through a relationship with someone and it really changes your lifestyle.

Sweet is the feeling of waking up in the morning knowing you are loved and great is the acknowledgement to find out you have someone to care for.

BUT

When a relationship turns sour, when it finally leads to a dead end where there is no return. What would you do? Are these phrases below sound all too familiar too you?

- Don't worry, Be happy.
- There's plenty of fish in the sea. Why drown because of one fish?
- Be strong ok? If you need anything, just ask.
- He/She's not worth your time.
- Learn to let go.

Familiar Eh?

People just would end up absorbing their own sadness. They would resolve to self pity. I don't really understand why but in a way it's really bringing harm to themselves. Yes, we sometimes lose control over our own feelings but it is how we control our feelings that makes us a stronger person no?

Here's something different:

Let's illustrate relationships as DOORWAYS. In our life, we have different doors opening oppotunities of different kinds to us. Many a times we're too self absorbed in our own sadness when our relationship with someone ends and would caused us mourning in front of that closed door. Doors that are closed would rarely open again for a second chance. Face it, Life is cruel!

But have you thought of this? When a door is closed in front of you, there would be other doors of opportunities open for you to experience. But often as it is, Human would stay put focusing on that closed door and we would often miss out the other opened doors for us to experience. Who knows? You might actually miss out the right one for you. Right?

I'm not saying when your door is closed, start jumping and look for other doors immediately. It's good to stay at that closed door for a moment of time to reflect of your wrong doings (maybe) or theirs. Reflect back where had gone wrong and make improvements from there before you start seeking for a new door.

I have met with people who stayed on that closed door for years and years and refuse to budge. Give yourself a second chance. Everyone deserves it but it's just too normal that people refuse to give them. I made mistakes myself, I screwed up relationships myself. Does that mean I should be sentenced to deathrow because of my mistakes? Hey, I'm not an angel, I'm not perfect. Merely a human as it is I do make mistakes from time to time. Everyone's equal too.

So to close this entry, Give life a chance, Give LOVE a chance. Well, 2nd chances if need be. But do remember that we are mere human, and in throughout this life of yours, There will be lots and lots of people walking in and out of your life. Don't just fix your eye on one door when it closes. Keep a lookout. Some people may say that is called faithfulness. On a certain degree, I agree with you but not to an OVER faithfulness. That would lead to stupidity. :)
