Sorry for the Lack of updates.

I've been pretty sick the whole of last week. Been down with high fever first of all from Tuesday till Friday. On Saturday, I was getting better, or so what I thought...

After picking up Eileen's parents from the airport, We had dinner somewhere at a hawker food stall and the next day, I was caught up with food poisoning..

No it was not the China milk products that you may think. I'm really not sure whether is it the hawker food or the subway sandwich in which I've indulged myself with... But good enough, I was down again with fever and food poisoning. The whole of Sunday and Monday I had my stomach squirming with pain, not to mention the vomits and the poop I've had to endured throughout the 2 days.

However, I'm back again to work on Tuesday. I'm still not feeling very well though but having sick leave for 4 days isn't a good thing to the company's eye.

Even lunch today I couldn't bring myself to eat more than the usual lunch portion that I'm used to. Just a few spoon feed away and I'm already feeling like vomiting what I have indulged in. I am hungry though. Very indeed but heck there's nothing I could do but drink more water and keep myself warm in the air conditioned environment my office invited me to.

I am thankful however that there's not much work stacked up for me while I'm gone, so working on my job has been pretty smooth sailing till now *cross fingers*

And now I'm craving again... This time around, I'm craving for salad :p Don't ask me why but I love salad. Just that it's really hard to get a good fresh salad these days in KL.

Oh later I'm celebrating my mom's birthday with Eileen's parents attending as well, so yea, I'm pretty nervous But I'm sure I'll get by. On the bright side though I can have my craved salad :p

Anyone a big fan of Takeshi Kaneshiro? Eileen is for one. She was goo-goo-gaa-gaa-ing over his poster when we were on the cinema the other day. But we were watching Death Race so we didn't catch this one.

However, when we were visiting the DVD shop to stock up some DVDs to watch over the weekend, I bumped to this movie. So I was like hey since she liked it so much, why not buy the DVD and watch it at home. It'll be nice though...actually I'm referring to the poster. Looks blue and nice :p I have no idea what is the story line behind this movie.

So as usual, we went back, start up the DVD player and slot the DVD in. At first watching the movie was kinda ok. It's a Japanese movie though! One thing about pirated DVDs, you're exposed to the risk of stupid subtitles. Eileen doesn't understand Japanese and I have a mild understanding of that language =/

So as we watched, we got more and more confused. Takeshi's name is Chiba, which the subtitle writes Lightning Thunder and the girl's name which was Kazue Fujiki becomes Rattan Wood =.="

What wonders can piracy do good titled movies...

Anyways, as we watched, we became more and more confused and you know what? I ended up sleeping followed by Eileen... We ended dozing off comfortably...... in a deep....deep....sleeeeep....

When I woke up hours later, I told Eileen, "This is a damn good movie....."
Eileen: Ya right! You slept in the movie. Some more you slept faster than me...
Me: Ya it's a good movie....good to sleep hee hee....

Guys and girls, watch on your own risk, just make sure you don't snore in the cinema, that's all..

Finally it has arrived! The long waited latest release album of Metallica!!! I just got my copy last night ;p This is the first time I ever purchased a CD that comes along with a free T-shirt...

Will post the picture of the T-shirt up later. Mean time, I've uploaded 3 of their songs into my music box. Do check it out if you're interested. But so far as I can say about this album, it's pretty good on some songs, very garage feel but not as 'garagie' as st. anger's album.

I kinda like only a few songs from there so I'm posting up the 2 of my likings from the album. Go ahead....knock yourselves out.

If loading is too slow for you, come to Imeem.com to listen to the songs I uploaded to share. I has all the other albums from different artists as well :)

Oh on the side note... I'm going on a personal strike. I'm never going to patronize Malay food anymore. I hope all of you who are in Malaysia would join in for this strike to show these people we do make a difference in the country's economy system.

HIDUP CINA!!
Long live Chinese...

Are Men Intimidated over Stronger Women?

I was, yet again, had a drink with a friend of mine some time earlier this week as he told me that he was really troubled and and kinda invited me out on a desperate measure for a drink. He was kinda depressed in a way coz he hadn't been working for like 2 months. He has a wife to take care of and of course some loans and stuff to commit on a monthly basis. So as you may guessed it, his wife is kinda supporting the income on the house. Which means.... the wife wears the pants in the house LOL

Then it kinda stumbled upon me of this question....

ARE MEN INTIMIDATED OF STRONG WILLED WOMEN?

I got to admit, male chauvinism is pretty common in Asia especially Chinese men. Some men are still living in the traditional era where they still believe that men are a superior being compared to women. Men believes that they should be the one wearing the pants in the house and working and providing to the family is the duty of men.

Well, men will feel very intimidated if their woman are supporting them financially in any terms. I do feel the same way too. I mean why would you want to have a partner if you can't support them? I remember when I was much younger, my mom used to tell me, "Calv, you should study more. Then graduate to earn more money. Then only would you have what it takes to find a wife to support her."

Seriously, I think that mail chauvinism is kinda bad for us. We shouldn't even adapt this this concept at all. I believe men and women are equal. Both species have 1 brain, 2 hands and 2 legs. We're given the same capacity to perform in jobs or what not. Why should women feel any lesser of a being compared to men?

Some men prefer submissive women who listens to them on every instructions and commands. I think it's more like these men just want a sense of security. Having troubles at work while dealing with people around already just doesn't want to go back to a home where even the partner challenges him. It works both ways as well. Women who goes to work, they sometimes get caught in a crossfire of office politics. They get stressed out too. But they still come back home and takes the bickering of their so-called superior being. It's really not healthy to have this kind of mindset in a relationship though.

I for one, prefer a woman who can hold her head high and have her own opinion. but of course from time to time, a submissive part of her popping out would definitely be nice. Men loves to feel wanted. They longed to feel important in their partner's life. I guess it goes both ways as well. Women too wants to feel important and wanted in their own home with their partner. Don't you agree?

So as you can see, we're all equal here, we both want the same thing in a relationship and want the same goal from each other.

Take some time to reflect guys and girls, Why should you be intimidated over each other? Especially men, why would you be intimidated over women who could hold their own? It'll be really boring if the women agrees in EVERY single thing you say and does not challenge you one bit. Where's the fun of a debate or a positive discussion?

I would like a woman who could tell me otherwise, tell me that I'm a twat or I'm being and ass. A positive communication or a discussion with your partner is good for a relationship. Some people may think being submissive is just to evade arguments from each other but I can tell you this, arguments are good to hold a stronger bond between 2 people. But of course don't get it over your head. Keep your pride in your shelf when you want a positive discussion.

To be honest, I too need to work on my pride issue. Sometimes even though I have the right mind to keep it in the shelf, it often pops up right beside me and it makes me feel like a jerk when I display my pride and sense of superiority in front of my partner.

So all in all, I feel men shouldn't feel intimidated over stronger women. Having stronger women could be fun as well. But of course to the Ladies, please don't get over your head as well. Be considerate. Men could be quite fragile as well. Not all men can take harsh words or headstrong attitude with women. Men may be strong physically, but I can honestly tell you they are not strong all the way in. Not all of them to say the least. Women have a stronger hold on their emotions and mental compared to guys.

Sorry folks for the lack of update. I have been pretty busy for the past few days and yes another few days to come due to the workload I'm facing right now.

Just a short update: I was sent to Singapore over the weekend and yes to work. And of course it sucked. I mean traveling over the weekend away from your family and of course your own personal plans for the weekend would be ruined too.

What are my plans for the weekend you say? MATTA fair was over the weekend and I actually planned to go somewhere with Eileen for a holiday before her parents comes back. Ended up we went on Sunday but all of our preferred destination had been FULLY BOOKED.

So there you go, an update for you, no holidays for me :(

Online Shopping?

Photobucket

Ebay.com is so efficient these days... From the very beginning, I was pretty skeptical about purchasing stuff online. I keep on getting worried about whether will I be cheated or even being sold fakes or bootlegs from what I originally wanted.

Photobucket

Thanks to Paypal.com, this is a place where you key in your credit card details to them and they will be the middle party who makes payments for all your online purchase items. Don't worry, they are pretty safe. As a matter of fact, they will help you out of you were sold fakes or even if the items you bought were not delivered to you, they will refund to you after a full investigation; which takes about a week or so. :)

I usually do my shopping for music online these days. It's so much cheaper and of course with Paypal and Ebay, it makes things so much easier and smoother. As some of you may know, There's a lot of music that you can't get it in Malaysia. Not to mention CHEAPER than Malaysia.

Buying a music CD in Malaysia costs vary from RM40 to RM90 depending on the artists. Isn't it a wonder why Malaysians are still going for pirated cds? They only costs for RM8 at most. We as Malaysians work as a regular job with only a pay of RM1500 to RM2000 a month. How many of an RM50 worth of CDs could we afford?? People in America who earns about US$2000 a month would be able to afford tons as 1 CD there costs around US$5 to US$10?

Photobucket

OK back to my story. I got this CD called NELO. It's not found here in Malaysia as they are a new band. Guess how much I got it for?? 1 cent on Ebay and with a shipping fee of US$6.15. It's friggin US$6.16 for a CD which is about RM20 here? Ain't it so much cheaper? The seller in Ebay definitely earns a little and we in Malaysia saved a little... There you go... a Win-win Situation...

Everyone's happy. Of course there's a catch and risks about purchasing items online. Catch is of course you gotta be patient. It takes them about 6-10 days for a delivery right to your doorstep. I mean a saving of RM20 or more is kinda worth the wait right?

Risks are being whether are they selling u fake stuff, or broken CDs. Heck some even won't bother sending the items to you after you paid them. But never fear, Paypal is here. Just lodge a complain and they will investigate on both ends. When they found out that you are the victim, the payment will automatically be refunded back to your credit card :)

So in all words, it's kinda risk free in a way hahaha.... so guys... Happy shopping...
