Reading Habits Anyone?

Recently there's someone very dear to me sent me a gift for my birthday and guess what? A book! I'm not a heavy reader of novels or books but well since it's a gift I might as well try it right? LOL and guess what? I got stuck!! Pure addiction!! It's really a very very very good book! It's about the struggles he had to go through. Tough life, abusive ones as well.

Apparently this guy, Dave Pelzer, he suffered the 3rd most abusive case in the records of state of California. You need to have a strong heart to read this book else you might end up fainting! LOL. So anyways, This she only bought me the first book which is called 'The child called "IT"' and I ended up buying the 3 books combo to finish the story. Then later on, I bought his younger brother's book, called......

It's about the younger brother's journey taking Dave's place after he left for foster care. I've not started reading this book yet as I'm still trying to finish the 3rd book of Dave's. This book is kinda hard to get in Malaysia as I have searched many places for this. Well thank goodness borders Time square had 1 last copy! hahaha So I ended up getting it as well.

Now I'm on a reading saga! Friends who knew me from way back then knows damn well I don't read much of these books! But hence now I'm stuck! Even to Michael Backman's Asian insider, a political economic book also I'll read... I'm turning into a reader, hopefully one day i can full fill my dreams of being a writer cum a photographer to earn a living, peace and quiet lifestyle! Isn't it great?!!

the first two books somehow gave me a compelling feel about 'em. seems like from all those 3 books u're reading it's as if by reading those u could be searching for a part of your life that you might've missed out. Searching inside of u. is it?

no la...someone gave me the book as a gift. as i'm reading it i get addicted. nothing to do with searching myself. it's the damn suspense that kept me on. i jut wanna know why the mom did that to dave that's all! until book 3 it still has not revealed yet!

well, I guess dave just wants to keep the world in suspense as to why the mum abused only 1 at a time in the family...this dave certainly knows how suspense could kill devoted readers of his...muarhaha...u are gonna loan me the bro's book after u finish it right? And apparently the book can still be found in a book fair in KL Convention Centre. Am not too sure if the book fair still exists now.

well, physical abuse is indeed agonizing. But mental abuse hits a million times more painful! I think I fit the bill of a mental abuser, unfortunately...Guess I should start indulging in book 2 & 3 asap. interesting write-up!
