Old Gatherings

Damn it's been so long since I've actually partied and hanged out with my friends till last Friday night. Guess we all kinda grew bored over clubs and parties with the packed up place. Recently a very close friend came back from Australia after completing his studies with a degree. So all in all it was pretty much appropriate for us to hold a gathering. So where? Zouk's Loft.

Here's the pictures of the said event:

Not to mention that night was also somewhat a farewell party to another close friend who is leaving for America to further her studies, Pei Gim. Nice girl, hyped up most of the time but really down to earth. :)

At first everything was fine, just normal gathering with welcome homes and goodbyes, good lucks and so on... but after like I cant remember how many thousands of Long Island Tea Jugs we had, things kinda went a little out of its way. You'll understand what I am saying as you browse down.

Jeremy was the first to get knocked down and he was completely bonkers then.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yeap, Jeremy. I guess he was thinking he was Mike Tyson trying to bite Sityin Holyfield's ear off. Mwahaha

First Tyson, now Elton John.

Seriously, I don't know what to make out of this.

Then there was this backstreet boys action with Cicak, Jeremy and Jien

I was trying to act cute but Jeremy HAD to come and ruin that picture. LOL!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Horny? Nah I don't think so...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Trying so hard to act stone but I kinda look more pissed that stoned!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yeap, kinda successfully did it there.

Yeap. She is either very heavy or I was too drunk to even carry her weight.

Overall, The night was really great, brought back many fond memories and certainly a keeper. I cant do this too often though as that night itself we spent like I cant remember how much. How I wish Malaysia's cost of alcohol would be as cheap as Hong Kong then it would really rock us like hell. But then again, too much / unlimited source of alcohol could lead us all to hell, literally. Cheers guys *hick*

Odd to Joy

First and foremost, I need to apologize for the slow update. Well there's pretty much nothing I could do since the internet line is slow slow after the quake in Taiwan. The line was so slow till I could not even upload any pictures. So, a Blog with no picture = Boring Blog.

OK! Back to my point. Remember the previous post i wrote about Joy, the dog who was brutally beaten by a group of merciless Indonesian workers? Well there's this group called the Independant Pet Recuer whose one of its members found Joy in an abominal state. She brought Joy ti the vet immediately for any surgeries or treatment. So there, Joy had her lower Jaw removed and was now healing up pretty well.

This group I mentioned had organized a gathering for us common citizens to pay Joy a visit a few weeks back. It's incredible I must say as there was a swarm of passionate and caring people came to visit her and bought her gifts and so on. I kinda forgotten to bring my digital camera with me so I didn't had much options but to use my 2MP PDA phone camera. Damn the quality was bad. But anyway, it's better to have some low quality pictures rather than not having anything at all right?

Here goes...

So many people was gathering around Joy, touching her, petting her, showing concern to her and so on. Amazingly she still could bring herself to be aroudn humans again after what she experienced. I felt her body, no doubt her heart was pounding like speed of a bullet but she still loved to be around humans.

I did took some close-up shots of her. Imagine this picture, Everyone was using their top-notch camera with fancy stuff like flashes and so on but i had to use this bloody piece of camera that does not even have a light!

Not so cool using it around high tech camera men/women. haha but then who cares? I came for the dog and not them! So here's the close-up shots.

As you can see, She barely have any lower jaw. We're trying to look around for a vet who could work a prostetic lower jaw for her. so if any of the readers here knows someone like that, Please do keep me inform. I don't really worry about which country the Doc is from as we would be able to work something out.

Before I forget, I have 2 pets that needed re-homing. So if anyone is interested, please drop me a mail with your email on it for correspondance so I could hook you up for a viewing session with the pupps.

What kind of Humanity is this?

Damn, reading the newspaper today was supposed to be interesting and relaxing. Little did I know, I bumped to this article:

Dog loses jaw after cruel beating

JOY, a little black dog whose jaw was surgically removed after he was almost beaten to death, still looks at humans with love.

Despite the cruelty rendered to him, he still looks at people to be petted and loved.

On Dec 2, Sabrina Yeap, managing partner of the Furry Friends Farm (FFF), rescued Joy at the Ki-Park Sri Utara construction site belonging to developer, Kepong Industrial Park Sdn Bhd (KIP Group).

Joy's lower jaw was dangling and his tongue was hanging out.

Two eyewitnesses said they had seen him being beaten by Indonesian foreign workers who kept calling the dog haram as they continuously beat it.

Joy’s lower jaw was so badly injured that it had to be surgically removed, but its tongue was saved despite having lacerations and blood clots.

Dr Habeeb Rahman Ibramsa, a lecturer in Quran and Sunnah studies at the International Islamic University in Gombak, volunteered to give a talk to the foreign workers who were involved in the beating of Joy.

But, to date, the owners of KIP Group has refused to co-operate.

“I wish to end this ignorance. The Quran does not support violence against animals; I am willing to give lectures, presentations and screen videos that support what I am saying.

“I hope the public, Government officials, foreign workers and others who need to hear this truth will attend,” said Dr Habeeb.

Yeap said FFF was not looking for the government to punish the people who did this to Joy.
“We are calling on the government to support our public education projects by persuading the developer, KIP Group, to allow us to educate their workers.

“Joy may not be able to fetch a ball or toy anymore but he still knows how to show his delight in human companionship,” Yeap said.

A little gathering will be held at the Canteen Restaurant in Plaza Damas to support Joy.
Those interested in attending can also bring a little gift for him.

For details, call Yeap at 016-631 9018.

How could people act on such cruelty. The best part is that guy yelling "Haram" which means illegal. How the hell is a dog illegal? Though in Islamic studies dogs are inappropriate creatures in their eyes, doesn't mean that humans have the right to be cruel to them. Try pulling this stance in United States, they'll drag your sorry ass to a cell block.

For those who cant read Malay, it simply means "Protecting your private parts".

BIG dinner...

Last Friday, my colleagues and I had this craving to try out the Alaskan Spider Crab... Seems like this 1 crab alone can be made into 4 dishes, enough to feed 10 people...so yea, you can guess how curious we could get...
After work we went to this nearby restaurant called the seafood paradise at Conlay Club. Looks like a high class restaurant thought and we all dress up like normal casual wear... I mean who cares? We have the money, We're hungry, We'll just go eat!
First, we chose which crab to take for dinner from this big ass aquarium. We spotted one that is about 2.5kg. Do bear in mind, the crab costs RM19.80 per 100gram... so the crab alone of 2.5kg costed us RM549.50 hahaha, tell me I'm crazy...

Please ignore the guy. He's just too suprised seeing something so huge in his entire life...
We also ordered some extra dishes as fail safe plan in case the crab does not fill us up good enough. so we had chicken, tofu and green bean.
As we patiently waited for the food to cook, well you guys can see how tiringly hungry I was. (not to mention I was on fever that day)

Finally the crab came in four different dishes!! yay, time to wack it up!!

This is just the legs and the knucles...

Then they used the shell to make steamed eggs.

Lower part of the legs are used for BBQ purposes.
Check the MEAT on just the LEGS... our normal grabs cant even get close to this amount of meat!
Then here's rest of the meat... I feel a little wasted and conned but then again, I don't care! I was sick and hungry! haha
Then the rest of the side orders came in as well..
At the end, the whole deal cost us RM777.89...there's like 8 of us so each had to fork out RM97. A little too costly but hey, it may only be a one time experience. Anyone who wanna know mroe about this place could drop me a note with your email address and I'll show you where it is.

For Religion or for Weirdness?

Read the papers today? What on earth Kelantan Government is trying to do? Drive us all to nuts?! Such discrimination; Such disrespect. Such chauvinist act! Did they ever think of what the women has to say? Or is it that they themselves (Government) need to control such dress codes so that they themselves would not be tempted to commit crimes?

I won't mind what they do to the state of Kelantan but this is going to far. They are violating human's rights with disrespect, the worse of all. They are dropping the standards of men and insulting men like us (ME...hehe) who has a mutual respect for women and their rights. Sia Sui la like this...

What they want the women to wear? Like this??

There are countried where women are to wear like this. This is because these countries are Islamic countries, htey had no choice but to abide in that law. But for Malaysia, the government had been proudly claiming that this is a multi racial country, therefore they should learn to respect other races and their own beliefs as well.
Scenario1:

Imagine all of the women in malaysia have to abide in this 1 day...
you'll have a few people taking pictures together and...

Man1: Wah, Who's picture is this??
Man2: Well, The red circle is my wife, and the blue circle is my daughter.
Man1: Are you sure??
Man2: I guess...It's so friggin hard to identify them since they had to wear like this!!!

Scenario 2:

Man1: Wai seh, Damn proud leh me...My wife went on strike just for my beliefs...
Man2: Which is your wife?
Man1: Neh, that wan...no no, this one...ermm, I dunno which is it....
Man2: =.='
