Something to Look Forward To

It's been so long I've ever got the time to blog about anything at all. Work had been really piling up on me literally till the extent I could no longer have much time to do anything else but crash at home later day of the evening to take my own personal time to do practically nothing at all. I don't even have much time to play the games that I would usually play... how sad such kind of life is huh?

Since I took over P Project from a colleague who had resigned, I've been getting phone calls ever more frequent compared to my daily life. Heck I even might get more phone calls coming in to me than I would normally received for a month! Just like yesterday, Just on incoming calls only I had like 81 calls already excluding the calls I have to make for this P Project.

So as you might be able to imagine, my life is basically havoc right now. I'm so nervous to the extent of even having to force myself to check office emails from time to time from home; just to make sure there's if there's any urgent mails that require my attention, I'll be able to attend to it.

Teluk Batik Beach - Sitiawan

Oh don't let me bore you with my work and all. I am finally going to take a short weekend trip back to Sitiawan with a few friends of mine. Finally, the sea side, the sea food, the slower pace of life... God I'd give anything to have such life. comfortable and everything is so easy going. No doubt in order to experience such kind of life, one must not be too greedy on the incomes one would be getting living in such remote places.

But of course, life style there would be way much cheaper as well compared to our hectic city life. Like there's an old saying, There's a price to pay to every choice we make.

We are going to enjoy this weekend with the scent of sea breeze over the atmosphere, sitting by the beach while the gentle waves sweeps across your leg, the sea breeze running through your hair and letting yourself soak in the warmth of what the sun could provide.

Ah...the life... I can't wait to go back there and take some nice pictures as well as enjoy a full load of seafood :p

Till then, will report more when I get something out of it

2008 Mini Blogger's Gathering

So sorry for the late update on my blog guys. Work has been piling up lately and I don't really have much time for myself except when I'm home.

Usually I would upload those pictures from home but unfortunately, TM Streamyx has really taken a toll on me as well, My connection to the internet intermittently gets disconnected. Last night in order to send a mail to my co worker, I got disconnected like over 7 times. Can you imagine how bad would this get when I upload pictures?

So here I am, slightly eased up in office.... Therefore without further or do, I present to you 2008 Blogger's Gathering Season 2.

Yes again it was held in Marche. The reason for this all is very simple...

1) It's easier to split the bill as we have our own cards to pay at the cahier.
2) The location seems so much better to take pictures with.
3) The voters had voted for the food there. (Though in my personal opinion, the food isn't so great after all)

Was the gathering boring?? Hmm.... let the above picture speaks for itself... LOL

Nah, it wasn't so bad....First we started off by helping our Co host, Evie to put on some make up. Few reasons as well...

1) She was kinda underdessed.
2) We had a surprise for her and that surprise won't really go along with an underdressed person :)

This is how she looks after the make up.

The group of girls , well the early birds though... From the left, Bernice, Evie, Maegen and behind is Eileen

OK So here's the surprise we had for Evie. We kinda understand that she is getting married soon, and she has some shortage of funds, So the girls decided to make her earn her own marriage fund. How you say?

Yeap, that's right! She has to go around asking for donations all over the restaurant. But wait.... She's not just going around empty handed. She has to work on some sales before getting her hands on her money!

Ain't she cute??~~~

This is the whole group that arrived for our humble gathering...

NKwai... a fellow photographer and someone with a good sense of humour.
Oh yea below are the pictures of what our SALES was all about...

And just to think the group is not enough to make the sales quota, Evie had to go around the restaurant to sell her "product"

I bet you guys must be wondering what was she selling right? hehe will let you guys know at the end of this post, so be patient...

Evie, NKwai and Yat... Seriously, special thanks to yat for bringing a huge group of people from nuffnang's innit to join us. :)

Jason Lim and Chen Seng

Hsu Jen and David Hehe our very own "royal shortness"

Our photoshop guru, Chee Ching

Aaron and Stephanie

We also had Chun Lern , Fiona and Eric who participated in our gathering but unfortunately the pictures I took of you guys are blurry so I'm a little embarrassed to put it up... Sorry guys...

Our very own Thomas Yap. And yes this is what Evie was selling around the restaurant, CONDOMS!!! mwahahaha... Good one girls...

Sadly I as the co host wasn't pardon for this goof as well. So I had to particiate to ensure everyone that this is not a rip off. Guys...RM10 for 1 condom isn't expansive...Think Donation...Think Safe... :p

Mini Blogger's Gathering

This invitation is handed out to all of you readers and bloggers who are interested. I'm going to copy and paste the information from Evie's post of gathering....

"As I've posted earlier, we, as in a few kuchi-rat bloggers, would like to have a mini gathering again this year. We have decided to have it on the 21st of November 2008, no, not a early Christmas Edition anymore, more to a normal get together (cos 21st Nov is so damn far away from Christmas). Since we've decided to make it easy-bill-manage, we narrowed down to these two location in PJ.

One, Marche Movenpick The Curve for easy larger seating area with aircond and indoor smoking access for those who smokes plus easier to make early booking for space but with abit of expensive billing. Calvin said this would produce a better photography at the end of the day so...

Two, McDonald's Mutiara Damansara, the one opposite Ikea or Tesco (I think) with cheaper manageable bills and free 24/7 Coke refill, but cannot guarantee if there would be enough seating indoor for everyone unless some seat outside and some seat inside. Furthermore, you can watch Discovery Channel or Football, if there is any on that day, or whichever Astro channel they wanna put on that day.

So there you have the pros and cons of these two area.

We've come up with a poll on our sidebar so that you can choose which area you would prefer to have this gathering. The polling ends this Saturday 12pm so that we could make reservations at Marche just in time (in case if Marche gets the majority votes). So please make your votes now.

To those who are interested to go, you can mark your calendar this 21st November and give your name and contact number to me via email evelynholic@hotmail.com to RSVP a seat. Please RSVP by 15th November 2008. Thanks, and happy polling :P"

So what are you waiting for? instead of email to the above said email address, email to me at siggyx.com@gmail.com

Don't forget to vote yea~

Oh if you want to know how our blogger's gathering went last year, check this out...

First Musical Ever

Have you guys ever been to a staged musical before? Honestly I have not and as of 2 weeks back, I have lost my virginity of staged musical.

It's called The Beauty and The Beast. You know the old classical fairy tale where an ordinary girl who meets this ugly ferocious beast then somehow she managed to "tame" the beast up and they got together and be happily ever after, bla bla bla, the story usually goes on and on and on with one villain.

Eileen got us 2 tickets for the premier musical and it worth RM350 each. Plus we get to meet the cast before the show starts. Here's some pictures we took that day

Photobucket

It was said in our ticket that we can meet the cast in Room 304 and 305. We were like wondering how come we have to go into a hotel room to meet the cast? I was hoping more like a private "meet" LOL but unfortunately there were swarms of people hanging around the meeting hall.

Photobucket

Note that I looked kinda shy in the picture. Please take note that I wasn't ready for the picture taking yet when the photographer SNAPPED our picture. Somehow I have this feeling that I may be a very shy person from the inside. I know I know, A lot of you would puke or make funny noises when I say that I'm shy but heck, the picture proves it all!

Photobucket

Photobucket

It was said that we're not allowed to take any pictures in the theater but you know what? we're Malaysians and we do what Malaysians do best - Breaking the LAW. Till you think this is barely enough, we also did....

Photobucket

Hmm... What else... Oh sorry about not being able to blog last week. I was on a busy work schedule and was relocated to Singapore for the week. Sadly, there wasn't much pictures taken while I was there apart from the evening I'm at the airport about to go back to Malaysia; So I figured it really isn't much to blog about it. But guess what?

Usually people would go to another country to shop for clothing or even accessories when there's a giant sales going on. BUT.... I didn't manage to get myself any of those. Well, I found a Polo Ralph Lauren Shirt that I've been looking for a long time but when I had that opportunity to buy it, I blew that chance away. Instead, I got these...

Photobucket
Tiesto's Search of Sunrise 7. This CD has been out for a while but our Beloved Country (sense the sarcasm) had not gotten it in yet...

Photobucket
Cafe Del Mar Vol 15. I've always loved the gentle sound of chill music from this series. I didn't even know volume 15 was released until I saw it in Singapore... Again... Our beloved country...

Photobucket
Firelight. Never heard of this band before though but it's quite good, Music wise. I mean it's rock and all but somehow it reminds me a little of Evanescence.

And last but not least, Eileen made me look like a fool.... I'm amazed how big a panda can grow up to... Dammit my tummy's showing....

Karaoke Session

A couple of weeks ago, my ex-colleagues organized this eat and sing your heart out thing with some of us close friends. Reason being is that they want to catch up on old times since most of us don't work in the same organization no more.

But the actual fact is, they just want to get together and show off to each other how well they can sing after the past few months we did not meet :p

Here's some pictures of the event to prove what I've stated.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

If you do notice, it's the same guy that sings over and over again. Fact is this guy, Jordan, doesn't really sing from the start. But... after a couple of "drinks", the true colour reveals :p Also notice the girls that was surrounding him while he sings. You would assume that he's quite a charmer when he sings?

R.O.F.L... boy have you been taken for a ride. First picture shows that he can't read chinese lyrics but can sing em, so, our dear friend, Connie reads the words by his ear while he sings it out. Latest and most effective way to teach someone how to read chinese :p

2nd picture is basically camwhores lol.... and 3rd is While Jordan sings, WE DANCE!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Yeap another bunch of camwhores. It's like this: once there's a camera around the room, people will somehow chase after the camera for shots to be taken :p

Photobucket

See what I mean? How cute!! 2 hot chicks some more. But...sorry guys, they're taken. I just don't wanna get your hopes all high up the sky :p

Photobucket

OK. Here's another deception. This is the 2nd time we gather together for a karaoke session. There's this promotion where we get was the birthday promotion. We get some drinks and a bottle of wine and a cake in the package. So since Connie have a membership card for the said karaoke, she gets to become the "birthday girl" for the night! This is the 2nd time and it's still Connie's birthday. 1 year with 3 birthdays (including the real one) is a lot to take in my honest opinion. hahaha...

Photobucket

Last but not least, this is the whole group picture we took together that night. Don't see me in the picture right? OF COURSE I'M NOT IN THERE.... I'm the camera man :p

Somehow they told me not to put these pictures that I have taken to Facebook... Should I? hmmm.... *evil grin*

What a Day~

Yea yea I know, It's been a while since I have blogged and People from everywhere thought I'm dead hehe. The fact is I'm not dead. Just been kinda busy with other stuff. Doing on some issues that has been on my priority list for a while.

MATTA fair had just ended and guess what? I have signed up for a cruise trip. Apparently I need to have a passport that is above 6 months before expiry. And my passport was expiring on... 30 SEPT. =.=" 1 month shy and I have to get a new passport.

Photobucket

I have read some time back that the new immigration system had changed and It's so much faster now to get your passports done. 5 years ago it was like 2 weeks before it could be completed and now the new system had enhanced it to just merely 2 HOURS.

Guess what? It's still a friggin bullshit to me. Took me like 6 hours to get my passport. The queue was long, The wait was long and the process was SOOOOOOOOOOO fucking slow. And to think that after the erection election has completed and DAP had won Selangor, thought the Selangor branch in Subang would kinda speed things up. BUT OH NO! Hell it didn't. Maybe it's just a way the government decided to retaliate back or to get back to us as citizens of Malaysia for not voting for them.

We were so bored to our nerves that we ended up having 3 sets of Teh O Ais and some food. over and over again we would just go back to the canteen to sit and drink and eat. Damn this would not look good to my resolution to work on my body =.="

All in All, The system is still stupid, the staff in the immigration office is still stupid and rude, the wait is long and fucking system still always goes down. Well I heard the offices in KL where my other friends did his passport reported to me that it was in a jiffy. So maybe it's just the government in Selangor has something up their sleeves sigh!

************************************************************************************

Oh yes, guess what? Eileen and I have gathered up a new interest. Wanna know what is it?

Well it's being a bookworm or a nerd. I thought for a while now that since young my parents had been making me read lots and lots of books but I've never fulfilled their wishes but only to end up roaming around or playing games or doing something else apart from reading.

Since age had caught up with me, we guessed it is time for us to bring back "fond memories"

So we decided to buy lots and lots of books to start reading. In one day itself we have gone to both Borders and MPH to buy books. Guess what we've bought?

Photobucket
These are the 6 books we bought for the day to read. We spent like over RM200 on them.

Photobucket
Well these are the entire collection of books I have thus far.

Note: Yes I have finally found back the Cambodia Lonely Planet that someone wanted to borrow for her trip there. So sorry I couldn't find it. I found it in my brother's room one day when I went in there to dig back for some of my old stuff. =.=" bloody thief for a brother huh?

OK OK some of you are not convinced that we can be nerds.... but hey we all have a nerd in us right?

Photobucket

Photobucket

Are you still not convinced? Well, yea we would look more cool and cute people than nerds, but hey, it's the thought that counts right? :p

Lastly, pun for the day, Realized anything wrong with the shape of the fences?

Photobucket
Still don't get it? Hmm... let me show you another one.

Photobucket

What does this shape look like to you? If you still can't guess it, Well just be proud that you're innocent. :p
